Secret eavesdropping in the new abbey

The secret door in the

abbot's quarters

The former abbot's quarters in the New Abbey houses many historic art treasures. It also hides a secret that visitors can't see. A hidden door in the cabinet makes it possible to eavesdrop on conversations in the Order Hall.

Guests under surveillance

The cabinet stands at the center of the side wall. It has been preserved in white and gold and its middle opens into a small room. A person in this room could eavesdrop on waiting guests in the Order Hall without their knowledge. Only a wooden wall separates the host from his guests.
