Corona-Virus COVID-19Notes for your visit

From Saturday, October 31, 2020, all the palaces, monasteries, castles and others of the State Palaces and Gardens of Baden-Württemberg will be closed due to the current development of the corona virus. The closure will last at least until Monday, November 30, 2020.

CLOSED FOR THE CONTAINMENT OF THE INFECTION

From Saturday, October 31, all the palaces, monasteries, castles and gems of the State Palaces and Gardens of Baden-Württemberg will remain completely closed until at least the end of November. The state is thus assuming its responsibility to contain the spread of the corona virus as quickly and effectively as possible, which is why the closure will take place at the weekend and not at the beginning of the coming week.

The interiors of numerous monuments have already been closed to visitors since Saturday, October 24. From 31 October, this also applies to the gardens and outdoor areas.

CANCELLATION OF ALL EVENTS

All guided tours, special tours, concerts and other events planned for this period are cancelled. Events by external organizers or private individuals cannot take place either. This cancellation regulation is initially valid until at least 30 November 2020 inclusive, and beyond that date in line with the general development of the overall situation.

YOUR RESERVATIONS

For questions regarding your existing reservations/payments, please contact the respective palace or monastery office. You can also reach us at our hotline daily between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM: +49(0)72 51.74 27 70. We will make every effort to find a fair solution. Please be patient with us as it may take some time to respond to everyone's inquiries.

YOUR SCHLOSSCARD

If you have purchased your Schlosscard before June 1, 2020, the individual validity of your Schlosscard will be extended by the State Palaces and Gardens of Baden-Württemberg by 12 months.  This compensates for the different duration of the closure, depending on the monument, due to measures to contain the infection with the corona virus in spring, which was, is now or could be in the future.
If you have your castle card after June 1, 2020, its validity will be extended by the duration of the current closure.

Individual passes can be extended at any palace ticket office.

YOUR ANNUAL PASS

The State Palaces and Gardens of Baden-Württemberg is extending the validity of individual annual passes for the Schwetzingen Gardens and Karlsruhe Botanical Gardens by the respective duration of their closures.
