Corona-Virus COVID-19Information for your visit

According to the most recent Corona Directive of the State of Baden-Württemberg, many of our monuments are able to open again, depending on the seven-day incidence rate of the respective town or city. Some monuments can only be viewed with restrictions, while others must, unfortunately, remain completely closed. Therefore, please observe the respective current hours of operation.

Our monuments are also subject to our state's usual Corona directives restrictions. Visitors ages 6 and older are required to wear face masks. Employees and visitors must all maintain a distance of 1.5 meters (5 feet).

These restrictions must also be observed in palace gardens and other outdoor areas. This face-mask requirement for visitors age 6 and up is strictly mandatory when entering any gardens and outdoor areas. Guests are responsible for bringing their own suitable masks.

In accordance with the Corona directives in Baden-Württemberg, we are required to collect your contact information, including first and last name, address and phone number, as well as the date and time (from–to) of your visit and the start time of any tours. This information is collected to enable the fastest possible tracing of potential COVID-19 infections.

Save possible waiting times at the cash desk and print out your contact form in advance and bring it filled out to your visit. Of course you can also fill it out on site.

If you have purchased your Schlosscard before June 1, 2020, the individual validity of your Schlosscard will be extended by the State Palaces and Gardens of Baden-Württemberg by 12 months. This compensates for the different duration of the closure, depending on the monument, due to measures to contain the infection with the corona virus in spring, which was, is now or could be in the future.
If you have your castle card after June 1, 2020, its validity will be extended by the duration of the current closure.

Individual passes can be extended at any palace ticket office.

The State Palaces and Gardens of Baden-Württemberg is extending the validity of individual annual passes for the Schwetzingen Gardens and Karlsruhe Botanical Gardens by the respective duration of their closures.

The State Palaces and Gardens of Baden-Württemberg is extending the validity of vouchers for the duration of the closure or closures.
